Make sure to mark boxes as «fragile» when you pack breakable items. Also mark an «arrow» to indicate which side the boxes should face down.
Dishes
– Pack each plate individually in clean packing paper or other fabric.
– If you are wrapping multiple plates of the same size, stack them on top of each other with a layer of packing paper in between.
– When packing different kitchen items such as pitchers, vases or other unusual dishes, be sure to protect all handles that can be damaged.
– Wrap pans and other cookware in clean packing paper.
Food
Do not take any food items except for those things that may travel well (pasta, cereal, oil). Make sure to properly pack them (pack items in a sealable plastic bag, then wrap into paper of fabric to prevent any damage.
